I wrote this essay as my first Art History paper. It was in the fall of my senior year of high school and I will always have a fondness for it. It will probably be the only high school piece I put up on this site. This class was a highlight of my senior year, as every month we’d take trips to DC museums for a piece on which to focus our next essay. Though my writing has gotten better (and I didn’t go back in to edit it) I still like the artwork that I compare and the analysis that I developed. Hopper and Sherman are still two of my favorite artists. And it’s my first foray into Art History!
